We would like to introduce a case study that solves the problem of eliminating the hassle of disassembly cleaning and reducing the risk of foreign material contamination due to detachment, using our rubber 'Radicalock' for rubber-plastic cross-linked composite materials. Since rubber has poor adhesion, it is often fixed in place with fittings or screws. This can lead to dirt accumulating in the gaps between the rubber and the base, necessitating disassembly cleaning, which can result in parts falling off and getting lost or causing foreign material contamination. With our product, it is possible to manufacture composite parts where plastic and rubber are tightly bonded without gaps. We will introduce case studies that utilize the rubber compound "Radicalock," which is a rubber-plastic cross-linked composite material, to address issues related to product lightweighting and energy saving. Parts used for transportation and braking, such as rubber rollers and rubber stoppers, are often bonded to a metal base. However, there is a strong demand for using plastic instead, as metal is heavy and difficult to process into various shapes.
